Peripheral

 Course Objectives

On behalf of CCT2022 Peripheral, I would like to extend my brief greeting to all of you.

With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, not only the social structure but also the way in holding academic societies has been changing significantly. In the midst of all this, we are finally able to hold our meeting in a hybrid format this year. CCT2022 Peripheral will be held at the Kobe International Exhibition Hall from Thursday, October 27 to Saturday, October 29, 2022. Compared to recent conferences that had to be canceled or were held entirely on the web due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am very pleased to be able to exchange information and interact directly with a variety of people.

This year, we will again prepare three channels and the main channel will focus on Live Case Transmissions. The number of Live Case Transmissions has been increased since last year, with live broadcasts from Tokeidai Memorial Hospital on the first day, Kyoto Katsura Hospital on the second day and Kasukabe Chuo General Hospital on the last day. The main focus of Live Case Transmissions will be on endovascular treatment from the lesions of aorto-iliac artery to below-knee artery. Among these lesions, the treatment for the femoropopliteal artery lesion, in particular, is in a state of true chaos, as various final devices have emerged and the approaches have been differentiated in various ways. We hope that through the Live Case Transmissions, you can sort out these points and establish a treatment method that is right for you.

The subchannel will live stream pre-recorded treatment videos of rare diseases that are not easily prepared for live broadcasts, as well as pre-recorded videos across the boundaries of surgery and radiology. We would also like to provide many opportunities for lectures and case reports.

I look forward to meeting you all in person in Kobe after a long while.
